INDIANAPOLIS (Thursday, May 26, 2011) – Angie’s List and Oriol Servia are together again for the Indianapolis 500 mile race. Angie’s List will be an associate sponsor for Newman/Haas Racing’s No. 2 entry in the 95th Indianapolis 500 on Sunday, May 29.
“We are thrilled to team back up with Oriol, who was our first Indy 500 sponsorship back in 2008 when he was a rookie,” said Angie’s List Founder Angie Hicks.
Servia is competing for Newman/Haas Racing in the 2011 IZOD IndyCar Series season and drives the No. 2 Telemundo Dallara/Honda/Firestone race car. He will make his first front row start from third place in the Indianapolis 500 on Sunday. It will be Servia’s third start on the famed 2.5-mile oval.
This is the fourth year Angie’s List has sponsored a driver in the race famously dubbed as “The Greatest Spectacle in Racing.” In 2008, the Angie’s List car, driven by Oriol Servia, finished 11th in the race. Servia will compete in his third Indy 500 race Sunday and his first with Newman/Haas Racing. He first joined Newman/Haas Racing in 2005 where he finished second in series standings. He competed in four races for the team in 2009 and returned for the 2011 IZOD IndyCar Series season. He is currently third in series point standings.
